No Punishment Required!

Did you enjoy the weekend guilt free?

We're here to tell you, whatever you did, you don’t need to punish yourself...

We all may see the Easter period as a time to have those little indulgences that we probably wouldn’t have on a day-to-day basis. Which is great! A time to enjoy family and friends, enjoy some food and drinks and just be in the moment, feeling carefree and happy.

But then comes the guilt. The negative thoughts. The plans to get to the gym to ‘work off’ those little indulgences…

No. Stop it.

Exercise shouldn’t be used to ‘work off’ food. It shouldn’t be used to combat the ‘bad foods’ you may have consumed. Stop punishing yourself.

Instead, exercise should be seen as a way to maintain a healthy and strong body. Or to improve your strength. Your mobility. Your energy. To keep your body and mind in good health.

In fact. If you have a healthy exercise routine and generally eat nutritiously, the impacts of those few extras you’ve eaten over Easter won’t stick around. Your body will know what to do with those foods, as long as you get back to your normal routine.

Exercise is not a punishment! I can’t stress this enough. It’s a celebration of what your body CAN do. It’s an opportunity to achieve new milestones, to feel strong and to grow.

So, instead of using exercise to punish yourself, do this.

Reflect. Reflect on your day-to-day nutrition and make sure you are getting the nutrients you need, the water you need.

Plan. Plan your workouts. Get them in ready to help you get back/keep on track.

Positive mindset. Be prepared to enjoy your workouts. Remind yourself why you’re exercising. Why it’s important to YOU.

Success will happen, if you let it.
