Do one small thing…

Doing one small thing, might feel insignificant, it might feel pointless, especially if you want to "get fit and lose weight".

Those five words sound easy, but getting started can be overwhelming; it means we wait for the perfect time and it turns out, during a pandemic might not be that time!

But if you do one small thing, day in day out, it might lead to other things. And if it doesn't, no matter, you still did that, rather than nothing.

We're getting moving this month by increasing our steps. It's a great time of year to build that habit as the days lengthen, we've even had some sunshine.

You don't need to go far, I like to set my timer for 10 minutes and just go, when the timer dings, I turn around and head for home having enjoyed taking the time for myself.

You might prefer a journey with a purpose; you could walk to a further post box (or simply go the scenic route!), walk out to see a friend or family member for a distanced hello, a smile and a wave.

There are endless wellness benefits for getting outside.

Human connection is so important right now and it's out there, even at a distance and even behind masks.

Getting your body moving will improve your circulation, Strengthen your heart and boost your mood. And it feels good!

If you do one small thing today, who knows where it might lead.
