Embracing Failure
Failure is something we all face and deal with in our lives. But it is the way we deal with it that plays into how our lives progress from that moment on.
The word failure is not something we should be scared off; on the contrary, it is something we must embrace and learn from. The process of learning and understanding what happened, what didn’t go as planned, what went awry, why it didn’t work, is so important for you to continue on your health and fitness journey. It is not the end.
The word ‘Failure’ is so overwhelming and very disappointing. The negative emotions are easily consuming in our society, but who says we should act in societies ‘norms’?
Not I. I challenge you, write down, in a journal, on your phone, on the calendar if you wish, the things you are doing to change your health and fitness. Then, when disappointment and ‘failure’ hits, look back and see what positive changes you have made.
Think about this time next year. How would you feel if you were to look back on the year after not doing anything to get you where you want to be. I bet the ‘failure’ and disappointing feeling will be a thousand times worse than if you were to look back and see that actually, you had made so much positive change.
And you are in fact, a stronger, more healthier you.
