The Power of a Simple a Routine

Following a daily routine can help you establish priorities, limit procrastination, keep track of goals, and even make you healthier. It lowers your reliance on willpower and motivation. Start off small, plan simple action-based goals for the day, each day and tick them off as “ACHIEVED” as you go through the day e.g. exercise for 30 minutes and drink a glass of water with every meal.

Make your plan in the morning or even the night before. Keep it somewhere so you can see it such as on the fridge or set reminder on your phone so you can be reminded to do your to-do list.  Stick to this routine every day, keep it consistent and stick to your timings; you will be surprised what you can achieve in a little time and how more productive you will feel.

Here’s something really important to remember; what works for someone else, might not work for you. That’s why it’s important to pick the activities that resonate most with you, the ones that move towards your bigger goals and to keep doing those. Don’t be afraid to try new habits and see how they work for you. If they leave you feeling energized and inspired, keep doing them…if they don’t, keep trying new ones until you find ones that do.

Most importantly make it fun and remember to reward yourself with a non-food reward such as a bunch of flowers, a new book or maybe our awesome “Affirmation Clings” for that extra encouragement to keep going with your new habits… Click here to check them out in our web store
