Try this when you are feeling busy and stressed
Do a Tech Check!
Technology can be great for helping you feel connected, but if you’re using it a lot then it can contribute to making you feel busy and stressed.
Taking a break, even a short one , can help you relax. Try turning your phone off for an hour (or if you’re feeling brave, a whole day!)
Step away from the TV and/or have an evening where you don’t check emails or social network. Use the time to relax, doing something else (read a book, journal, play a game, do a puzzle, have a quite think)
Identify times when you automatically turn to your phone, such as when travelling on a train and plan to do something else instead like listening to music, reading (or listening to) a book, doing a bit of colouring or drawing, or exercising.
When you find yourself picking up your phone, that’s your cue to do the thing you planned.
Go on, drag yourself away from those addictive devices!
