Take time to learn… about YOU

Have you noticed growing up that if there was something you wanted to achieve, you did all that you could to learn everything about it? 

Reflect on school. A lot of the subjects I personally revised for were easier than others. I asked myself why and realised they were the subjects I chose. They were the things I wanted to know more about, so, I did all I could to learn and study.

This is the same with our health and fitness. If you want something that is achieved by focussing on this, then you have to be prepared to put yourself in a space of learning. There’s no ‘magic pill’ answer to take you from that goal straight to the result, not without learning and education required. 

Over the last 5 years as a Curves Coach, I have learned so much. Prior to this, I was enrolled on a PT course which provided me with a lot of the knowledge I know, but it wasn’t until I became a Coach that I truly felt I took onboard so much more. However, I did have to put myself in that space of learning, in order to be educated. This wasn’t difficult as I wanted to understand and know how to help others and myself achieve in fitness. 

This is what you must do. Put yourself in a space of learning to understand how to get to your goals. To learn about you and your body and the benefits it will receive from Strength Training. Knowledge is power!
