Take time for self-care . . .

What does self-care look like for you? We often think of it as something significant such as a pamper session with a bubble bath or pedicure, maybe some time reading a book or meditation or journaling.

What about the little things we could do each day that will have an impact on our health and well-being? We can slip these into our routine (almost) unnoticed, and they can have a big impact when repeated over time.

Taking a mulit-vitamin; most of us lead busy lives and can’t plan every meal to perfection. Consider a multi-vitamin your nutrition insurance, it helps to fill the gap. Even careful eaters can benefit from taking a multi-vitamin three times a week.

Flossing; research has linked gum disease to preventable disease such as heart disease and diabetes. It is thought that the body’s own inflammatory response may be the connection between the two. By removing bacteria from the gum line, the body won’t send white blood cells to the area to fight infection. Happy gums, happy body!

Dry brushing; just a couple of minutes a day will promote your lymph, help your body metabolise toxins more efficiently, discourage fluid retention and reduce any inflammatory responses. Plus, it feels really good and promotes softer skin.

That glass of water; just one glass water can refresh and revive you, help you think clearer, give you immediate energy, or soften a headache. Easily repeatable for ongoing self-care.
