Ooooops; did you hear about our mistake?

And here's what really matters...

Coach Sall

As most of you know by now, we sent out 2 emails this week to the wrong people!

In case you missed it, here’s what happened, and also what you can learn from it.

We’ve been trialling something new for our new members. An email every week for the first 6 weeks of their membership. You know, just a little extra encouragement.

It’s been a real challenge to get these emails written, lists organised and a system to handle which members need which email each week.

And that’s where things went a little awry with our newly set up system sending the 4th AND 5th emails in the sequence to everyone!

It wasn’t really a big deal, just a little glitch with technology but once it was done, there was no undoing it.

We’ve had some lovely responses (thank you!), some of you who have been here longer than 1 month took the opportunity to celebrate that (good choice), and some of you gave us a lovely Google review as a result (thank you!).

For some, who haven’t yet taken that step through our door, it was too much, and they unsubscribed, and that’s OK too.

You see, a lot of good can come from things not going as you planned.

New opportunities can come from mistakes.

A distinct LACK of perfection can reveal things you would never have discovered.

When things go wrong it brings about honesty and real clarity.

And in every mistake, there is opportunity (maybe for someone else, such as celebrating your time at Curves!).

Too often we have our “fear reflex” permanently engaged and while we may not always be thinking about all the things that might go wrong, we are driven by our fear of getting something wrong, of forgetting, of failing, or of something important to us not being perfect.

And so we don’t do it, we don’t even get started.

Here’s what you can learn from our mistake.

It
Doesn’t
Matter
Even
When
It
Matters

There is enough good in the world, and enough good people to balance out any mistake you make.

Find those people, have them in your tribe, they’ll be the ones who either don’t notice or make your mistake seem right, or maybe it will turn into an opportunity for them!

They will make it good, or make it not matter.

Because… (and here’s the BIG takeaway)

It matters less what you get wrong, and more what you get done!

Claire, Coach Tash and Bec, they got it done!
