It works both ways…
Coach Sall
Last week I sent out a great video (some of you even watched it…) all about how to get really motivated for the things you want to do in life (you can watch it here if you missed it! It’s about 18 minutes long but you can start it about 7 minutes in if you want to get to the really good stuff)
You probably know already the thing that gets you moving is a powerful “why”, but that’s not what the video was about.
It was about understanding the difference between what you really, really want, and what you need to do to get there.
In my email I said “it's not watching the video that matters, it's what you do afterwards that will move the needle for you!”
And I think some of you took me literally (quite a lot of you in fact), didn’t watch the video and went and did something less boring instead!
You see, reasons (and excuses) work both ways. They can mobilise you, focus you, drive you forward to the thing you want to achieve.
Or, they can keep you stuck right where you are.
Didn’t have time to watch? Thought you’d watch it later? Forgot? The email got buried under all the other emails that drop through your inbox? Wanted to give it your full attention so saved it for when you’re alone?
I get it. We all do it.
We get to choose every day.
So here’s the big question for this week, does your reason move you forward, or keep you stuck?
