Quiet a busy mind
Coach Tash
A practical way to quiet your mind:
Take 5 minutes for yourself to relax with my new favourite way to de-stress, or, if you've got young ones at home for half term get them to join in and see what you create!
Get a pen and paper...
Make sure you’re sitting comfortably with your back straight feet flat on the floor and shoulder relaxed
Take your pen and draw a big circle that fills your page and don’t worry if it's wonky!
Now keep drawing! You could fill it in with pattens or keep going round the circle, just don’t let the pen come of the page and don’t worry about making a finished picture
Take time and focus on what your drawing
While you're drawing think about how the pen feels on the page the sound it makes how the colour comes out when your draw fast or draw slow
By focusing on these sensations can help you quieten your mind like meditation
Then, if you feel like it, you can change the pen and the colour and the pattern
Top tips for this are
To not to focus on making it look perfect. If you yourself doing that then swap your hands over and use the other hand! (This might add some fun for the youngsters too!)
If you find this hard at first, then you could start off with some colouring
