There is no finish line!

Coach Sall

There are many reasons to exercise. (Dannii and I talk extensively about them here).

Keeping going with your exercise habit, well, that can be tough one.

And here’s the reason.

There is no finish line.

It never ends.

It never gets easier.

You get Stronger.

You get fitter.

Hopefully you’ll be able to work or play harder, faster, longer.

But mostly, we’re trying to prevent a negative here (the risk of preventable disease) – and, until we happily shuffle off this mortal coil having lived a full, energetic and illness free life… we’ll never know if we achieved our goal.

Once you realise this you then realise how you may have been tricked by the motivation lie.

You don’t need motivation to exercise. You need commitment, persistence, consistence and an understanding that just like housework, brushing your teeth or paying bills…

The work is never done.

That’s why it’s important to build your HABIT of exercise. So you don’t need to think about it (much), so you don’t need to wait to feel like it, so you just do it without thinking and everything else is planned around that commitment.

Habits are formed by frequency, not over time.

The more workouts you do, the more workouts you will do.

There is no finish line. This is you now. You are an exerciser, THAT’S your achievement, each and every time you workout.

Make it your goal, make it a part of your identity, celebrate it daily.

BE the woman who doesn’t miss workouts.

P.S. Are YOU getting 3 workouts a week? If not, comment below, and let me know what gets in your way. I might be able to help you become that woman who doesn’t miss workouts.
