One good reason
“Don’t work out because you hate your body, workout because you love it” is a quote I now stand by ...
From the start of my ‘teen’ years I was always so embarrassed of the way my body looked compared to my friends, just because I had wider hips and bigger legs. This stopped me from being able to live the years that I should have been carefree as I was so young, but instead I would go on holiday and not go in the pool because I believed that my body wasn’t a bikini body.
Now I know that EVERY BODY is a bikini body. I won't pretend that I have never worked out to ‘burn the calories’ I just ate, because I have, but now I work out because it makes me feel powerful and strong.
I sometimes get so wrapped up in my physical appearance that I don’t get time to appreciate all the things my body does on a daily basis for me, but I love the body I am in.
Take a minute to think about what the human body does for us and next time your mind is focusing on the negative, focus on these positives.
Gratitude is powerful.
