Are you a morning person?

Coach Tash

Making some small adjustments to the way you organize your time can be a simple way to help you feel more in control of any tasks you’re facing. When you’re thinking about the things you need to do today, tomorrow, or even routinely, consider these points.

1.     Identify your best time of day. Are you a morning or evening person? Can you do the important tasks that need the most energy and concentration at the time when you are at your best?

2.     Make a to do list and arrange them in order of importance so you can focus on the most urgent first, and not forget the others.

3.     Vary your activities. Balance interesting tasks with boring ones and difficult tasks with ones you find easier. Get the difficult task done to “clear the way” for doing the easier or more fun task.

4.     Stop trying to do too much at once! Multitasking not only makes it harder for you to carry out any individual task well, it also increases the sense of pressure. Something you really don’t need.

5.     Take breaks and avoid rushing. It might be difficult to do this if you’re feeling stressed, but it can make you more productive in the long run, allows you to breath (a great way to combat feelings of stress) and gives you a moment to make the better decision.
