Your month in review!

It’s that time again and if it feels like only 5 minutes ago I spoke about “Taking Inventory” that’s because it was!

Sometime this weekend take a moment, with pen and paper. Divide your page in two.

On one side list out your wins this month – grasp for every single small moment, pile them in and don’t get distracted by what you think you should have, could have, or would have done in a perfect moment.

Don’t stop until you are done! Start today and keep that list going until Sunday evening.

Then on the other side of the paper write just two or three things you would like to focus on in December. This one is not an exhaustive list!

It’s about focused, specific actions and habits. It’s a to-do list on repeat!

This will get your subconscious to work for you – once you’ve completed your month in review your reticular activating system will continue to optimise for all the small wins (it will get busy spotting workout opportunities, finding reasons to move your body and gently nudging you to take a drink of water for example), while also getting to work on those few things you want to be celebrating this time next month.

Like most of the good stuff in life, this will take practice, but imagine how good you would feel if you made this a monthly ritual, and how much progress you could make in one year of celebrating even small wins, each month.
